Conditions of Use
These terms apply when you create an account, use highburyeye.co.nz, or purchase products from Highbury Optometrists.
Website and account use
Accepting these terms
By creating an account, using this website, or placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions.
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our online services.
Providing accurate information
You agree that the information you provide when creating an account or placing an order is accurate, complete, and current.
You are responsible for keeping your contact, delivery, billing, and prescription information up to date.
Multiple or misleading accounts
You must not create accounts under false identities or use multiple accounts in a way that is misleading, fraudulent, or intended to avoid account restrictions.
Highbury Optometrists may suspend, combine, or remove duplicate or misleading accounts where reasonably necessary.
Suspension or termination of an account
Highbury Optometrists may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe that the account has been used fraudulently, unlawfully, in breach of these terms, or in a way that may harm the website, other customers, or our business.
Contact lens orders
Valid contact lens prescription
You may only order contact lenses through this website if you have a valid and current contact lens prescription for the products being ordered.
You are responsible for attending eye examinations and contact lens follow-up appointments as advised by your optometrist.
The recommended frequency of follow-up appointments may vary depending on the type of lenses you wear, your wearing schedule, and your individual eye health.
Using contact lenses safely
Contact lenses may cause discomfort, infection, injury, or damage to your eyes if they are used incorrectly, worn beyond the recommended schedule, or are not suitable for your eyes.
You must only use contact lenses prescribed for you and follow the instructions given by your optometrist and the product manufacturer.
Prescriptions held by another optometrist
If your contact lens prescription is held by another optometrist and you provide their details, you authorise Highbury Optometrists to contact that optometrist to confirm your prescription and relevant follow-up information.
We may use this information to check that the products ordered are appropriate and that the prescription supplied is current.
Orders that cannot be verified
We may place an order on hold, contact you for more information, or decline to supply contact lenses if we cannot reasonably verify the prescription or believe the products ordered may not be suitable.
Orders and cancellations
Order acceptance
An order placed through the website is subject to acceptance by Highbury Optometrists.
Receipt of an automated order confirmation does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted or dispatched.
Order cancellation
Highbury Optometrists may cancel or decline an order where reasonably necessary.
Reasons may include:
- The product is unavailable or cannot be supplied
- The prescription cannot be verified
- The order information is incomplete or appears incorrect
- Payment cannot be authorised
- We reasonably suspect fraudulent or inappropriate use of the website
- A pricing or product information error has occurred
If an order is cancelled, we will notify you and any payment already received for the cancelled item will be refunded.

Product availability and estimated delivery times may change.
Some products may need to be ordered from a New Zealand or overseas supplier. If an item is delayed or unavailable, we will contact you and provide available options.
Shipping, returns, and refunds

Delivery times, delivery charges, tracking, rural delivery, international shipping, store pickup, and urgent delivery options are explained on our Shipping & Returns page.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by product availability, courier delays, public holidays, weather, customs processing, or other circumstances outside our control.

Return eligibility, timeframes, product condition requirements, and return delivery costs are explained on our Shipping & Returns page.
Products that are sealed for health or hygiene reasons may not be returnable after opening unless they are faulty.

Please contact us promptly if a product is faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied.
We may ask you to provide photographs, product details, batch information, or return the product so the issue can be assessed.

Approved refunds are normally processed using the original payment method. An account credit may be offered where agreed.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

Unless otherwise stated, prices shown on this website are in New Zealand dollars.
Prices for orders delivered within New Zealand include Goods and Services Tax where applicable.
Product prices and delivery charges may change from time to time.
Pricing errors
We take reasonable care to ensure that product information and prices are correct.
If a material pricing or product information error is discovered, we may contact you before processing the order, offer the correct price, or cancel and refund the affected item.
International orders

Your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion charges, international transaction fees, or other charges.
You are responsible for any import duties, customs charges, taxes, brokerage fees, or other costs imposed by authorities or service providers in the destination country.
