At Highbury Optometrists in Birkenhead, we sell prescription glasses for adults and children. We help you choose a frame that fits your face, then select lenses for your prescription and the way you use your glasses.
Frames that fit you
Good glasses should feel comfortable and sit in the right place. We check the frame width, bridge, temples and how the lenses line up with your eyes, then adjust the finished glasses for you. Styles change, so the best way to choose is to try them on in person.
Our selection includes ProDesign Denmark and Face & Cie, alongside other frames we have chosen for the practice.
Lenses for everyday life
Whether you need glasses for distance, reading or both, we will talk through the lens options that suit your vision and daily activities. You can read more about spectacle lenses and prescription sunglasses.
Glasses for children
Children’s frames need to stay comfortable and keep the lenses in position. We fit kids’ glasses in person, including Nano Vista Custom Fit and Tomato Glasses. Our children’s eye care and glasses guide explains eye examinations, frame fitting and myopia control.
Adjustments and repairs
If your glasses have become loose, crooked or uncomfortable, bring them in and we can check the fit. We can complete some repairs on site; others may need a specialist repair workshop. Visit Highbury Optometrists at 52 Mokoia Road, Birkenhead. If you have a valid prescription from another optometrist, bring it with you; we can usually make glasses from it and take the fitting measurements in store.
