Acuvue Advance product range to be discontinued post a comment
Johnson and Johnson plan to discontinue the Acuvue Advance and Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism contact lenses by 1st September 2010. The Acuvue Advance lens is made from one of the first generation of silicon contact lens materials. Johnson and Johnson now have a newer silicon contact lens material which is used in the Acuvue Oasys and Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism. Silicon contact lens materials are healthier as they allow more oxygen to reach the front of the eye. Wearers of the Advance contact lenses should have no problem changing over to the Acuvue Oasys contact lenses, but please check with us before you do.
