The cornea is the outer most lens in the eye.

Sometimes the cornea has an unusual curvature which can result in astigmatism.

A condition that can affect the cornea is keratoconus. New Zealand has one of the highest rates of keratoconus in the world.

To check the cornea we use a digital topographer, which measures its shape and dimensions.
